Up for your consideration is a Vintage Manual Retractable Electric Cord (cloth covered) Light Socket Outlet made from Bakelite. This collectible has two functions, it can be used as an extension cord for your outlet or as an extension light socket (the bulb is not included in this auction). This unit has 9 feet of cord which looks decent for the age except for the fraying near the plug. T are a couple chips and some slight scuffs in the black and brown bakelite case. The instructions for manual retraction are on the back and read as follows: UN WIND GRASP UPPER PART & PULL ON CORD RE WIND GRASP UPPER PART & TURN BASE PAT.PEND. S.M.R. Box 403 ARCADE AN. L.A. CALIF. T is some tape residue on the bottom which could probably be removed. I tested this collectible as you can see from my photos and it worked good. This retractable collectible measures about 3 1/2" across and height is 1 3/8" with another 3/8" added when the screw in outlet is present. Feel free to ask questions.
