Vintage/Retro Rare Original 1960's-1970's ERCOL Wing Back Windsor style ARMCHAIR. A rare original 1960’s elm seat and beech frame windsor style armchair, designed and manufactured by Lucian Ercolani (Ercol) of High Wycombe. The chair is considered to be in a very good vintage condition. As you can see in the photographs it original upholstery is faded and worn and is supplied only as a template for re-upholstery as it doesn't meet current fire regulations. Ercol chairs are an excellent example of English quality and craftsmanship of the period and demonstrate an unrivalled level of detail in furniture design and manufacturing at the time. The few minor marks that there are to the chairs are merely commensurate with their intended use and age. These are mainly on the arms and are not intrusive and do not detract from the overall beauty of these functional pieces of furniture and are only mentioned for clarity and out of honesty (see photos). All legs and frame are solid, with no loose joints. Chair dimensions are as follows: Height (Back) 41" x Width 29.5" x Depth 31". Cash on collection only from NN6 - Northamptonshire. It is impossible to be an expert in all realms of collecting, and I am honestly representing the item to the best of my knowledge and ability.
