An extremely rare set of four tall Pyrex Drinkups, dating to the 1960s. These Drinkups consist of a bright plastic holder, with a tall heatproof Pyrex glass which sits inside. You hardly ever see any of these any more - it's taken me about three years to gather together a set of four! There are plenty of similar reproduction Drinkups on the market - but these are the originals - marked to base as "REGISTERED 881736", this no. dates to the early 60s. Three glasses have the JAJ mark & logo to the base - one doesn't, but is otherwise exactly the same as the others. Two glasses have more signs of wear, with some scratches to the interior, but none have any chips. The bright plastic holders have some light scratches and a couple of discoloured spots - the red holder is slightly faded in places. I shall rub some polish on it, which is sure to remove the fading. Each measures approximately 4 3/4" high and 2 1/2" diameter of rim. They will be packed extra carefully to avoid damage. Instantly recogniseable to anyone who had one of these cheerful, bright mugs when they were younger - perfect for cappucinos, iced teas or just a nice cup of tea!
