This auction is for a Retro 50's Couch and chair. This set was just reupholstered and the springs were replaced. My mother-in-law was the original owner of this set and had just had it redone when she had to go into a nursing home, she spent $2,800.00 to have it redone! It hasn't even been used yet, it was done in October of last year, I have the receipts to show you, if you would like to see them . The fabric she picked looks like it is a vintage fabric it is a has a gold, tan color with a brushed look to it. Both pieces are in mint ready to use condition. This set includes the couch, which is a couch with no detached pillows, it is all one piece. This couch folds down to make a straight bottom, which could be used as a bed, which would be almost 44 inches wide, its really easy to do, you just pull the back of the couch forward and push it down to make it flat, I quess it was considered a sofa/bed couch in its time. The chair does have a detached pillow bottom. The couch is 7 ft wide with 6 ft. of seating, it has the arms which are 14 inches wide, the back piece of the couch is 18 1/2 inches tall with the seating part measuring 23 1/2 inches. It is 16 inches from the floor to the seating with a measurement of 22 1/2 inches to the top of the arm, the arms are slated as you can see in the picture, over all the couch is 32 inches high.The chair is 33 inches wide with a 22 x 21 1/2 inch seat, it is 32 inches high. It has 14 inch wide arms and the back piece of the couch is 19 inches high. I hope that I am making sense with all of the measurements, E-mail me with any questions.
