is a one of kind sign. This came off an old parking deck in downtown Peoria Il . several years back. It was next to a Bergners Department Store. I would date the sign the late 50's into the 60's. As you may be able to tell this sign is really large, over 12' counting the post sticking out of the end. It was monted on a post in the ground. With some mods it could be hung. The sign is made up of stainless steel, the lighted arrow is made up of chase lights, internally lit plastic PARK letter and some neon that says "no vacancy". The condition is really very good considering how long this was outdoors. Some of the bulbs are broke or missing but the sockets look good. The plastic PARK letters are intact (t is some mud or dirt on them as you can see in the photos), The stainless is in good shape, although part of the arrow is a little bent (see photo) that could be straightened out. I think the neon is ok. Both sides are the same Keep in mind that this sign could say anything you want it too. The plastic PARK letters could be removed and read something else. I thought this would make a really cool vintage car dealer sign also. It could read "Jeep" instead of PARK or something like that. The four square panels that read PARK could become one large opening if you wanted to have just one sign panel. This sign is very heavy and cannot read more
