VINTAGE REVERSE PAINTED LAMP SHADE Up for auction is a vintage reverse painted lamp shade. It depicts a beautiful outdoor scene with mountains, trees, and a river. It stands about 7" tall and the base is 10" wide. The top has a hole that is 1 1/2" wide. The outside of the glass has a satin finish. The inside was decorated with oil paints. I don't see an artist signature. This shade was once part of an old lamp that had a damaged base. I purchased this shade at an estate sale several years ago. I'm guessing that it dates from the 1920's or 1930's.Condition of this reverse painted shade is EXCELLENT with no chips or cracks. I don't see any scratches or damage to the inside paint. The photos of the lit shade appear more yellow than in real life. The shade displays beautifully and would make a wonderful addition to any vintage lamp. You won't be disappointed! If you've been looking for a reverse painted shade for your antique lamp, don't miss your opportunity to bid on this one. I haven't seen any others quite like it. My start price of only $9.99 (WITH NO RESERVE) is a ridiculous bargain and intended to spark interest. So bid now while the price is right and check back often. This
