I believe this beautiful rhinestone collar/necklace dates to around the 1940's or 1950's. The large stones have a "smokey" almost opalescent colored look and all of the smaller ones are bright which gives the entire piece a very unusual and sophisticated appearance. It measures about 16 1/2" from end to end and 1 1/2" wide tapering to 1/2" at either end. All the rhinestones are present and are prong set. There is no makers name. As you can see, the back has a worn metal look. It has a mesh feel and it is quite heavy, weighing about 3 1/2 ounces.
