This is a Vintage Original Painting of a RI Seascape on Canvas, signed by the Local RI Artist - Amelia Lawrence Wainscott (Born 1905 - Died 1992). I purchased this painting from the Wainscott Estate in Westerly, RI. The original ID Card and Address of the Artist's Estate is still attached. The medium appears to be Oil on Canvas with lots of cool but vibrant blues, grays, greens and browns. Also has nice texture in the Greens. The frame is made of wood with a driftwood texture and green color. Frame also has 2 Inside beveled edges 1-Silvery/Gold and 1-yellow/beige. The painting is in Excellent condition and the Frame is in Very Good Condition with some very minor marks on the wood and wear on the bevel paint. There is a natural watermark on the bottom of the frame where the wood was painted. The Canvas has some staining on the back of the canvas. (See Photos) This is a Charming Impressionist seascape perfect to accent your cottage or nautical theme. The frame measures 18.5" Wide x 14.5" High x 1" Deep. Weighs 2 pounds before packing.
