Vintage Rock n Roll Monkey, made by Alps in the 1950's, with the original box. Tin litho base, shoes, hands and guitar with a cloth head and cloth colored body. Very good condition with only a few marks of paint wear on the base and on 2 knuckles of one of the hands, and no dirt or marks on the cloth areas. The toy has been tested and works well, with the monkey moving back and forth, hand moves up and down, playing the metal strings on the guitar, and the foot taps, and the microphone does light up. The battery compartment is prisitine clean, underside has no rusting. Sometimes you do have to move the on/off switch a little to initially get him to turn on. He does have his original plastic hat with metal jingle ball. The box has some light surface dirt and a few creases on the left top, but no rips, marks, seam splits, damage, or repair.
