Ok folks...I will need assistance on this drum as the only thing I really know about drums is I use to listen to Sandy Nelson as a kid because my brother use to play his lp's and I dated a drummer in H.S. and made out with him on the school marching band bus to the away games! Alrighty then...This drum was just pulled from my inlaw's attic as the house just sold. It has been up t probably since the early 60's if not earlier. I am guessing that this is a Tom drum (?). It is made of wood...has a metal emblem saying "Rogers since 1849" with an Eagle above it. I am guessing it is from the 50's. On every other metal round bracket surrounding the center of the drum it says Slingerland Chicago IL. The drum measures 14 3/4" around x 11 1/2" tall and weighs about 7 1/2 lbs by itself. I do have to say t is one bracket on the bottom that does have some rust on it but that is the only one. T are three all wood drumsticks (color looks like maple) made by Regal Tip J.D. Calato Mfg. Co. that all measure 15 3/4". The cover bag is made of a canvas-type material with a soft felt-like interior. I can not read all what it says as the ink has rubbed off over the years...the only thing I can barely see is something that is INC. with 4185 TF under it. ANY knowledge that can be added to this item would be GREATLY appreciated! I can email more close-up pictures read more
