Vintage Rookwood pottery gorgeous punch or teacup. From one of their earliest productions of pottery comes this stunningly beautiful item. Has panels on it, along with almost an ear shaped handle. Decorated about halfway around with what looks like to be white dandelions or chrysanthemums, with brown leaves, against a light to dark peach background color. Impressed with the backwards RP letters with only 4 flames over the top. Started in 1887 with a single flame, each year they added another flame to it, so this one was made in 1890. Also marked with the numbers 4 14, a hand incised W, along with an impressed W. And finally, the initials of the decorator EDF. Found that this was a lady named Emma D Foertmeyer. Measures a mere 1 7/8" tall. No chips cracks crazing or repairs. Please read the description carefully and ask questions before submitting your bid. Good luck Rookwood collectors. PAYMENT Due in 4 days of the end of the auction. Michigan residents pay 6% sales tax unless valid tax number submitted.
