Up for bid is a used rooster weathervane. It shows wear but is in very nice condition. It is a signed piece...the weathervane is signed underneath the rooster's feet as being an OTTO J. ERNST ORIGINAL. It stands about 42 inches tall but has an adjustable roof rack that can make it lower by a few inches depending on the pitch of the roof. The arrow is 33 inches long, the directional pieces are 18.5 inches long and the rooster is about 13 inches tall x 11 wide. The piece is textured in a hammered look. The main pole have bee painted black once because there appears to have paint loss. I do not believe the rooster or directionals were ever painted. They appear to be the natural aluminun color. This piece is being shipped unassembled. It was easy to disassemble it for packing and it will be easy to reassemble for installation. The screw are a bit rusty and can be easily replaced. If you have any questions or concerns please ask before you bid. The rooster sit onto a pole. I took the rooster off and wire brushed the insert pole and sprayed it with silicone spray. It now turns easily. This is a great piece! It weighs 14 pounds packed.
