Vintage ROSE Needlepoint PETIT POINT in Round Wood FRAME
This is a vintage petit point needlework of a single red rose with buds, framed in a round wood shadow box type frame. The work is very fine and very well executed and the frame is of very good quality - I'm not sure of the type of wood, but I've provided close-up photos, could be maple. The frame measures 6 ½" in diameter and has a depth of 1". The piece is under glass, which made it difficult to photograph properly, but the glass protected the petit point over the years. The back of the piece is sealed with red velvet and t is a wire for hanging the piece. It is handwritten on the back with a number 35887 - the number is in script that looks older. This is in very good condition with no damage or wear.
