This is a lovely vintage ROSEVILLE DUTCH CREAMWARE tankard/pitcher that is decorated with decals of "varied scenes of Dutch children; trimmed with narrow blue piping at the rim." This is pre-1916 Roseville with no markings on the bottom. (Reference: Collector's Encyclopedia of Roseville Pottery Volume 1 Revised Edition by Sharon & Bob Huxford and Mike Nickel) This beauty stands 7 1/4" tall with a top opening diameter of 3 1/4" (not including the spout). From the 1/2" base of the tankard with a 4" diameter is the "skirt" of the tankard, a 2" rim with an approximate 4 3/4" diameter...what a classic style! And of course, above the base & bottom rim, the glorious decals whose colors remain brilliant. T are no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs, only some "lumpy bumps" in the pottery. The bottom shows evidence of sitting or sliding, and although the inside is clean, the very bottom has scratch marks, most likely from utensils used to stir whatever was in the tankard. (My photos show a variety of outside views, but the inside pics didn't turn out..) This Roseville piece is in wonderful condition! Shipping includes delivery confirmation. Although I am a terrific wrapper & packer who uses LOTS of bubble wrap, read more
