It is a very large compote dish, perfect to adorn any table, anyw I have always displayed it empty for the simple classic look it exudes. A true periwinkle blue, the color of the writing your reading right now! I have had this for years, I am a collector of pottery, but not a very fussy collector, meaning I love what I love and don't mind chips and dents. I have studied this extensively and can only find a mineral stain near one handle, but no chips, fracture or cracks at all. I will guarantee that. In fact since I am not a expert, if t are any defects whatsoever, I will give you a complete refund. I bought it in immaculate condition and I am selling it in immaculate condition. Marked Roseville on the bottom, and a ink mark shown in my pics. It is big measuring 15 long, 9 wide and 4 inches tall. It has the most stunning array of foxglove in the most muted, soft colors, that your guests will be admiring it from afar as mine have done for years. I had this on a French dressing table and it was an accessory that took over the room, without screaming "look at me", very classic, rich and elegant.
