Devil & Cards Stamp BoxYou are bidding on a very old, two piece, porcelain figure box made by Royal Bayreuth. This hard to find piece, measures just over 3 1/2" x 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" in size and holds rolled stamps. Pieces made prior to 1885, were signed with initials and then glazed over. Over time this had a tendency to fade. I do believe this to be one of those pieces. After closely examining the underside, I was able to see a faint marking. This is not visible in a photo. Overall this true antique is in good condition, except for a very small chip on the under side of the corner lid. Hand painted colors is strong and bright . T is a little wear on the devil's wing and to the one to the bottom side of the box. It looks as if it has been that way for many years. It is from a private collection and has not be listed before. I have set a very reasonable reserve due to its rarity.
