Up for auction is a lovely breakfast set made by Royal Winton Grimwades of England. This set is presented in Royal Winton's yellow "Rosebud" pattern. The tray, teapot, cup, creamer and sugar are marked with the round green Royal Winton backstamp, with the teapot having the pattern number which looks like either 5448 or 5488 handpainted in green on bottom. T are no markings on the bottom of the toast rack. The breakfast set is in lovely condition, with no chips, cracks or repairs. All pieces are trimmed in gold and I've checked each piece closely and can see no wear to mention. T is clear crazing on all pieces. The only things I can see that I will point out are as follows: the little creamer has a tiny smear of what must have been the painter's rose colored paint from the rosebud. It is not a bad smear, actually it is just a couple of little dots of light paint, but it is t and I want to mention it for accuracy. You may possibly be able to see this in pictures below. Also, on the bottom foot of the teacup, t is a tiny dot of gilding paint that got away from the paintress. Not bad again, but it is t Lastly, on the bottom of the tray, yet again, it looks as though some type of blue paint or ink got away from the painters and landed on the tray as it is sprinkled with tiny blue specks, all underglaze, so it was done at the factory when it was made. Of course, this shouldn't really be a problem as it is only on the bottom of the tray. These are the only things I could find that I thought my potential bidders might like to know. The rest of the set is really in beautiful condition. As for size, the tray measures 10 1/4" from handle to handle and 8 3/4" across. The teapot measures 4 " to tip of rosebud lid and 6 1/4" from end of handle to tip of spout. The cup measures 3" tall with an opening diameter of 3 3/8". The toast rack measures 2 7/8" x 2 1/2" across the bottom. The creamer measures 2 1/4" tall by 2 3/4" from end of spout to end of handle and lastly the wee sugar bowl measures 1" tall with an opening diameter of 1 3/4". This truly is a lovely set and the teapot shows no signs of tea ever entering it. It has been very well cared for and I am in hopes that it reaches someone who will continue to appreciate it and enjoy it :-) T is a postage calculator at the bottom so that you may calculate your postage. I do not charge any handling fees and charge only what post office charges to send the box to you. I will also take great care in packaging your item so that it reaches you without any damage, so please bid with confidence. I hope that you will check out my other auctions as I am listing several things for my Mom this week that may be of interest to you and I have a variety of things I am listing myself and will gladly combine shipping if you win more than one auction. If you do win more than one auction, please wait for an invoice from me as the automatic postal calculations seem to always be more than actual postage. I will send you an invoice shortly after auctions. Please email any questions you have and I will try to get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you for viewing my auctions and Good Luck to you!
