Nice, rather scarce, vintage floor lamp. Item is shown with a simple hurricane glass that is NOT INCLUDED IN LISTING. This lamp could be used with a similar hurricane glass or ball shape banquet type glass shade or a ruffled oil lamp type shade. We believe it would have originally had a ruby red shade of some sort, but that part is NOT present. All else is completely original.Gorgeous, ruby red glass font has no cracks or chips or stains, only some dust.Gorgeous, REAL BRASS filigree at top, pole tubing and bottom base. All brass looking metal is actually brass. (Not pot metal or steel).Bottom base (under the brass base covering and unseen from top) is weighted cast iron with no apparent rust. The underneath is painted a dark mustard gold and is original.Very heavy item weighs 14 pounds unpacked.QUALITY ITEM.This items works perfectly, however cord and wiring appear original. There are no cracks in the cord, but the plug end doesn't have a cover. Wires at socket are very, very dusty/dirty, therefore we advise having it professionally rewired, or at least professionally cleaned, before use.Brass has heavy green tarnish at base and overall has spots of tarnish too, so the lamp therefore could use some restoration, but generally looks nice.The base measures approx. 9" diameter, and item is 47 1/2" tall to the top of the brass filigree.
