Beautiful Swiss movement ballerina music box. Plays Isle of Capri, Isola di Capri. The box is inlaid wood on the top and 4 sides, not the bottom. It is beautifully done and is not scratched or split anywhere. The finish is not worn. The only problem is the 4 interior mirrors which are worn and may have been reglued. The reflect 4 images of the ballerina when the box is open. They show some wear and black spots but are not cracked. The most endearing part of the box is the ballerina who turns and goes up and down on her ballet slippers when the box is open and the music is playing. Her dress feels like taffeta. The box plays well and the ballerina mechanism works well. I have not had this checked out by my music box repairman as everything works well. The interior of the box has 2 removable wood pieces that I don't know the purpose of - possibly hold cigarettes. Unusual and beautiful piece of art. Please email questions.
