This is a vintage US Navy Peacoat. Possibly from WWII era but I'm not sure. There is no tag remaining on the jacket. It is in very good condition as you can see in the pictures. There are some blemishes in the wool on the back that you can see if you hold it just right in a bright light. I tried to show them in pictures but I can't get them to show up. You really have to try hard to notice. The inner sleeve seams appear to have been repaired. There is one area on the collar that has a spot worn that I believe was caused by it hanging on a wire hanger. I don't know the size but did take a couple of measurements. With the jacket buttoned and laying flat I measured 19 1/2" armpit to armpit, 25 1/2" from the top outside of the sleeve to the end of the cuff and 18" shoulder seam to shoulder seam. I'm no tailor, so if you need me to take a different measurement you will have to contact me and give directions on how to measure what it is you want. The sailor's name is stenciled on the inside.
