You are bidding on a Vintage Sargent Welch Amperes Rule Apparatus-Physic Labs- in excellent condition!! By Sargent Welch- a great science company!! Great for demonstrations, labs, hands on group projects, etc - Integrate Science/Physics /Chemistry or Electricity/Engineering classes at the same time while completing numerous fun labs, etc. Great for a serious collector of Science Vintage!! Looks much better in person than in the picture - hard to see details - Sorry!!Great for Projects/Engineering, School/Other group or school activities when they are bored! Has a variety of uses. These are for high school/college use - even home school. All for $18.99!-PLUS FREE SHIPPING!! NO Reserve! What a deal! These sell for up to more than triple this & are very hard to find! These are great for homeschool or a science class, teachers, student teachers, college, or students. Great for better understanding. Great for a small class! Included in this auction are the following: Sorry - do not know the age but it is clearly vintage - May be used but I believe to be new - looks old due to dust & storage. I will not touch it as I do not want to ruin it. States The W.M. Welch Scientific Company on it. Note - to use this - you may need other items! Comes with small set of instructions which follows - Consists of an irregular block of wood, in which is set a wire bent at right angles (1 part horizontal & 1 part vertical) Below the horizontal section of the wire is a recess for holding a small compass. The vertical section of the wire passes at right angles through the middle of a horizontal plane upon which small compasses can be placed (I have these also & will be listing them). By sending current through the wire & noting the directions in which the needles point, one can trace the lines of force about the wire and also determine the direction in which the current is flowing. Has the famous Sargent Welch logo on it. Sorry I don't know more! Great for that budding adventurist/physicist/scientist in your life!! Even a great gift.Why pay high prices when you don't have to? This would be great for that student in your life - Great for someone without a lot of spending $$$ who needs this - we've all been t I am cleaning out my closets at home & was in college for 7 years so check back often for tons of science, medical, books & supplies or equipment! Buy for a friend, high school student or relative!! - Put in a nice bag with confetti or other bag with other items & it is ready to go!! Add more items to make it elaborate!
