This my friends is an uncommonly seen Schrade Walden Alaskan old timer Hunter, made in the 1946-1974 era, Bearing the Nickel silver branded old timer logo with sawcut delrin handles instead of jigged bone. I wanted to show the etching on the blade (getting faint), So I kept this in an uncleaned state. Still looks great though! quite a find , as you can tell in the pictures. The THUD when opening the main blade is so strong and heavy, it reminds me of shifting a Harley into first! The trapper blades opening sounds like a safe door! They dont build 'em like this anymore!! The way the brass and backsprings fit together so tightly is one reason why America was the undisputed leader in making knives. you couldnt slide the corner of a dollar bill in between those layers. The knife has a real heft to it, with 2 big blades and lots of brass and silver on this BIG folding hunter. The only thing that makes this knife less than mint is a small amount of freckling on the front side of blades, which maybe could be polished if you dont care about the etching. s your chance for a real old world quality built knife from yesteryear at an attractive price. Good luck.
