(This is a new auction, not a relisting!)This is a gorgeous, barely-used (less than 100 miles on it before rebuilding) example of the most elaborate speedometer that Huret ever made for Schwinn: a Deluxe dual-scale (MPH/KmH) 0-40 MPH Huret-built Schwinn Approved speedometer head from 1977, in full working order and with its outer MPH scale stamped in light gold. It has been completely cleaned, reset, freshly lubricated, polished, waxed and reassembled, and is back in full working order, ready to install.The speedometer head is 2 3/8" wide, 2¼" high and 1 5/8" deep. It has a polished chrome rim, glass face and chrome housing, with the inner (KmH) numbers in white and the outer (MPH) in light gold, on a black dial with bright orange pointer coloring. The datestamp in the upper right corner of the back indicates that this was assembled on the 40th week of 1977. (See photos 3 & 4) This has had a complete rebuild and reconditioning, and is all ready to go. All chrome was polished to restore the shine, and waxed to keep it that way.
