This incredible set was one of two found packed away in my home. I believe they were originally bought as future gifts and never given. They have never been used! It consists of a Scipto Vu, chrome and mint green lighter , a matching ball point pen, and a lighter instruction sheet, all in the original box. The lighter, which measures 2-1/2" tall x 1-1/4" at the widest, and pen (marked Scripto USA ) are in excellent, and unused condition (I do not know if the pen still writes due to the age of the ink). The box and instruction sheet are also in very good condition, The box does have very slight scuffing on the right lower corner. The patent number (2,881,608) on the lighter dates to April 14, 1959. It is my understanding that VU lighters with the chrome band around the bottom are earlier models, and much harder to find. This complete set is very rare and u nique in color), I am sure It will be a prized addition for any collector. Thanks for Looking and Preserving our History!!
