Just a neat old piece of fun history - Vintage Sears Roebuck PROVIDENCE JR FIRE DEPT BADGE.. This is so cute. I would estimate from the 50's or 60's. This is a brass like badge which is about 1 3/4" X 2 1/2" and says Chief, Providence, Junior Fire Dept. It is in it's official vinyl wallet like carrying case. Inside is a card that was issued to the lucky Chief ' it says "Providence Junior Fire Department. Sponsored by The Sear-Roebuck Foundation. This is to certify that Dorothy Downs, Chief Engineer, Eng. 99, is a member of the Providence Junior Fire Department and has promised to help prevent fire in the mannar prescribed on the back of this membership card. It includes printed signatures by John E. Butler (chief, bur of fire prev) and Lewis Marshall (Chief of Department) . ................ . ......................No chips cracks or breaks........
