This is an RARE c.1950 – c.1960’S PUGET SOUND - SEATTLE WASHINGTON – KING COUNTY - LAW ENFORCEMENT – MEDICAL HISTORY EMDEE BY SCHELL physician – doctor Medical – Medicine bag with the original key. Dr. Gale E. Wilson was the Seattle, Washington - King County Autopsy Surgeon and Chief Pathologist. – Seattle, Washington Medical Examiner – Coroner. Dr. Wilson was the Chief Pathologist during the 1960’s and this doctor’s bag was presented to him by the Seattle Washington Police Department. The bag is in near mint condition with only some minor signs of use. The original key is included. The leather doctor bag has a very nice positive closing mechanism. The inside and on each side are two stage with a rise for medical equipment. The locking mechanism, underside marking and top markings state: PATENT NO. 2293363 EMDEE BY SCHELL TOP GRAIN COWHIDE BACKED AND LINED WITH OTHER MATERIAL The original paper documentation is also included and states: SNAP – LOCK TO OPEN LOCK, MAKE A COMPLETE TURN OF THE LOCK IN THE DIRECTION OF THE ARROW. BY MAKIKNG A COMPLETE TURN OF THE LOCK YOU ARE AUTOMATICALLY SETTING THE LOCK IN A CLOSING POSITION. BY PUSHING THE SIDES O F THE BAG TOGETHER THE BAG IS IMMEDIATELY LATCHED.
