We are offering a Vintage floral serving/cake plate on a metal pedestal/stand. This piece is so beautiful it would make the perfect Mother's Day gift! We think that this may be Sebring or American Limoges, we just have no way of knowing as the pedestal covers the maker's mark. This serving plate looks to us like it is quite possibly home-made.... in that the metal stand is glued on instead of being riveted through the middle like we are used to seeing them. And we must say that's all for the better because you get a complete view of the spectacular floral bouquet adorning the middle of the piece. This plate is just gorgeous, with intact bright gold gilding (that has only suffered a small bit of wear to the edge in a concentrated area), a bright floral bouquet in the middle with a large pink peony, pink and purple roses and blue forget-me-nots (to name a few of the flowers) and the flowers show absolutely no sign of wear. T are no chips or scratches and a minimum of crazing. The gold finish on the base/stand is in very good shape, although it does need a good clean. We will, however, leave that to the new owner.
