Scarce Vintage THE SECRET OF MADAME DOLL You are bidding on a scarce vintage Madame doll that was made by Madame Alexander! I found this doll at an estate sale along with more vintage Alexander dolls, other vintage and antique dolls, and a lot of other interesting items! Check out my other items ! This beautiful doll was made by the Madame Alexander Doll Co. from 1967 to 1975. The doll is # 1561. The Madame doll was inspired by Frances Cavanah's book "The Secret of Madame". This doll is dressed in Revolution period clothing, and she stands 14" tall. Madame has big blue sleep eyes and long eyelashes. Blushing pink cheeks and pink lips add color to her face. Her blonde hair is styled in tight ringlets, and it is in excellent condition. It has not been cut. Madame is dressed in a pink brocade dress. Pink organza ruching edged with white and pink lace trims her gown. White satin bows are featured on the bodice. A white cotton and net petticoat adds fullness to her skirts, and white pantaloons peek out from under her slip. White stockings cover her legs and black flocked shoes protect her feet. A pink organza mobcap trimmed in white lace covers her head and frames her face with ruffles. A black velvet bow trims the hat, and a white and gold metallic cord secures the cap under her chin.
