This old ukulele was just found in a house clean out, with a couple other old musical instruments. I don't know much about these, other than it is very old. This is a B&J Serenader Baritone Ukulele. It is strung with GCEA Aquilas. This B&J Serenader is likely 50 or more years old. Other than there being the expected nicks, finish crazing and some fret ends that need dressing, the instrument is a player and will make a new owner quite pleased . This ukulele is 10’ wide at the lower bout, 2-3/4” depth and 30” in overall length, with a 1-5/8 nut. It is bound on top and appears to be made of mahogany. The Baritone Ukulele is the largest instrument in the ukulele family. The standard tuning of a baritone ukulele is DGBE. This tuning is the same as the tuning of a standard six string guitar and makes the transition from a guitar to a baritone ukulele very easy for the average guitar player.
