A Matched Set Of 5 Vintage Barley Leg & Riser with Carved Accent Back Dining Chairs from England. Four are regular "side" chairs and one is a "carver" or arm chair. The legs and risers are all in good shape and all of these little darling's are all quite steady. They all are very well made and in overall better condition than most we see coming over from England these days and quite sturdy with each having a stretcher base for added stability. They all have some very lovely wood grains showing through-out the chairs with a Lovely Dark Chestnut Oak Patina to them. They have very few dings and very few scratches and the finish that's on them now will last for years to come. These chairs would hold up to daily use for years and years to come. Each side chairs are 18" wide at the fronts tapering to 15" at the backs and are 15 1/4" deep at the seats and the seats are 18 1/2" off the floor. Overall they are 39 1/2" tall. The arm chair is 21" at the front tapering to 17 3/8" at the rear, 17" deep 18 1/2" off the floor to the seat and 41 5/8" tall. The seat coverings are in very good condition. They don't have any rips, holes or tears. If you don't like the fabric, they have "pop out seats", which means it would take about 2 yards or less of your favorite fabric, a staple gun and about 2 hours or less to recover them. They still will hold up to daily use for many years to come. What a conversation piece this will make for your den, family room, dining area, breakfast area or Victorian Period Home!!
