Vintage Shabby ~Lane ~Blanket Hope Chest Trunk Up for auction is a wonderful " LANE " solid cedar chest trunk. It is painted a beautiful antique white. Fabulous ornate carvings adorn the front. It is a gorgeous piece of vintage furniture, perfect for the foot of your cottage bed or as a coffee table in your shabby french living room! It measures 46" long by 18 1/2" deep by 24" tall. We painted it on the outside, but the inside was left in it's original condition. The Lane and Aroma stamps are on the inside of the lid and on the floor of the trunk. The cedar smell is truly wonderful for storing sweaters, quilts, or any keepsake! This would make an incredible addition to your French Country, Cottage or Paris home! This chest was found at an estate sale which we painted all sides. I do not know the history of this piece. It is in wonderful vintage condition with a few dents or dings in the finish. Some of the veneer is missing in spots but mostly covered by the paint. All imperfections adding to the charm of the overall condition.
