Vintage Shaeffer Fountain Pen Near Mint Feather Touch

Beautiful brown and amber vintage Shaeffer fountain pen with lever fill. Near mint condition; looks to have been a presentation piece; has a name engraved " H.B. Roney." Also engraved in the plastic is the following: W.A. Shaeffer Pen Company, Fort Madison, Iowa, Patented in U.S.A., 500. Nib is engraved "Shaeffer's Feather Touch Made in U.S.A." and the number 5. It was in a soft flannel bag. Does not appear to leak; writes smoothly. I didn't have any ink, so I had to dip in a pen cartridge...it seemed to fill OK, but of course I couldn't fill it all the way. Really nice pen--You won't be disappointed. I've never found one that was this nice! I've added some pictures of the ends of the pen. Both ends are in beautiful shape, with no dings, dents, or scars. The plating on the clip is a bit tired at the very bottom edge of the clip--the part that would come in direct contact with a pocket. I am happy to accept your checks or money orders, and if you have good feedback, I don't hold your item until your personal check clears. Shipping quotes are for U.S. delivery only. Insurance is not required on this item, but is encouraged, since it could be an adventurous trip from my house to yours, and you'll want to receive your treasure in one piece, or have the shipper repay you.
