Offered for your consideration is a wonderful Vintage Shawnee Pottery Bulldog Still Bank in excellent condition. This is a hard-to-find bank, not often seen. Shawnee Pottery ran from 1937-1961. This bulldog could be between 47 and 71 years old, or 329 to 497 in Dog Years! He is in great condition with no chips or cracks, and his firing hole on the bottom has NOT been damaged. Coin slot is perfect. He does have crazing, with one longer line heading down his back and one off the side of his forehead. These do not seem to be hairlines, but crazing and smooth to the touch (see my last two photos). His colorful trim (under the glaze) is bright and clean. His expression is alluring and is a toss-up between goofy and mean! This little guy measures about 4 3/4" long, 4 1/2" high, and 3" wide. I hate to part with him, but he is house-trained, weaned, and ready for adoption now. If you have any questions or would like more pictures, please contact me anytime.
