This vintage Sheaffer capped green pocket fountain pen is in excellent condition for its age. The green colored plastic barrel has no cracks, chips, or gouges , but it has some fine scratches. The screw-on green with golden trim cap fits tightly and has a tight clip , which is labeled "Sheaffer's". The pen measures about 5 1/4 inches long when capped and 6 inches opened. Both ends are rounded. The pen was not tested with ink, but the gold and silver-colored nib appears undamaged , except for some scratches, and felt smooth when rubbed on paper. The pump filler mechanism operates and seems to pull a vacuum. The blind-cap is a smooth fit. The gold and silver nib is marked : SHEAFFER'S Feather Touch Made in U.S.A. 5 14K
The barrel is stamped : W.A. SHEAFFER PEN CO. FORT MADISION, IOWA, U.S.A. Made in U.S.A.The pen was not tested with ink, is sold "as is," and assumed to be non-working (though it may work or be easily repaired). Get this super Sheaffer's fountain pen for your collection!
