Vintage Sheaffer Lifetime Green Marble Desk Fountain Pen - Mid-Late 1920sThe barrel has the Lifetime white dot below the filler lever. The barrel carries the three-line inscription:W.A. SHEAFFER PEN COPAT. AUG 25.08 FORT MADISON, IA, U.S.A.DEC 10.12 - JAN.27 - OCT.20 - NOV.24.14The nib has a serrated feed and carries the following five-line inscription with serial number:SHEAFFER'SLIFETIMEREG.U.S. PAT OFFMADE IN U.S.A.5231138This pen is probably from the mid-to-late 1920s. The 5-line nib inscription was introduced in 1926. The lower black half of the barrel shows wear from normal use. The green part of the barrel and the upper black part look good to my untrained eye.I lightly pulled on the filler lever. Since it showed resistance, I made no further attempt to pull it up. The pen was probably owned by my wife's grandfather, who was a watchmaker. We have an identical pen with his last name on the barrel. Please ask any questions or request further photos prior to bidding.I rarely ship outside the U.S., but will consider requests.
