Vintage SHEAFFER PFM V Snorkel Fountain Pen.BROAD ITALIC NIB. BURGUNDY. c1959. Description: Vintage SHEAFFER PFM V Fountain Pen (P en F or M en) WHITE DOT Model. Snorkel Fill. c1959/60s. BURGUNDY with Gold filled cap. Very uncommon BROAD ITALIC nib. Excellent condition. Boxed. Fully restored and serviced. The PFM (Pen For Men) was the top of the Sheaffer Snorkel range of the 1960s and by far the largest. The PFM was first produced in 1959 and five models were available at the same time, with differing specifications as to nibs, caps etc. The range ran until 1968 but it it believed that only the 111 and V were available after 1963. The PFM employs the revolutionary 'snorkel' filling system. All PFMs are now collectors items but they remain highly practical for everyday use and are really lovely to write with. Model offered is the PFM V in burgundy with gold filled trim and 14ct gold nib. PEN/Barrel & Cap In BURGUNDY with gold filled cap and pocket clip. Gold filled plunger cap end plate. Cap is lined pattern and stamped 'Sheaffers Made in Australia.' Pen is in excellent condition - no splits, cracks, scratches or bite marks. Normal usage marks only. No dings to the cap which is also in excellent condition. White Dot "Lifetime Guarantee" mark of quality on clip. NIB/Filling System Correct and probably original 14ct read more
