VINTAGE SHEAFFER'S DESKTOP BOX FOR FOUNTAIN PENS

You are bidding on a vintage Sheaffer's Desktop Wooden Box. The box is for fountain pens. I believe the box is made of Tiger Maple. The box is a little over 16 1/2 inches long and 5 1/2 inches tall. The lid lifts and SHEAFFER'S is written across the inside lid. The Sheaffer's name plate is tin and is a little loose in the middle around the FF's. The inside bottom lip on the lid has the numbers 11 engraved in the wood. The top of the box is lined in a brown velvet and has places for 12 fountain pens(pens not included). T is an area to the right of the pens for storage. The sides and back of the top section have little spaces and each contain two envelopes. T are 14 envelopes in total. Each envelope has different size sacks for fountain pens.One of the front of these envelopes reads: No. 2L Sacks for pens No. 3D,3-25D,T5 30D,T74D,20C,22C,3-25C,2C,3C. T are still sacs in some of the envelopes. These will go with the box. T is a hinge in the slot in the far left slot on the side. It contains a hinge that holds the top open and not opening all the way. It is not connected to the lid. T is a screw in the lid and just need to be reattached. I have left this for the buyer. T are two drawers on each side in the front they are about 6 inches long and about 4 inches wide, they are a little over 3 inches deep. T are two drawers in the center that are about 6 inches long and about 6 inches wide, they are 1 1/2 inches deep.T are handles on both ends of the box. The top of the box has a few of damage. I think a couple are from someone sitting a drinking glass on the top. This belonged to my father who was a great fountain pen collector. He always carried and wrote with a fountain pen. The box is in good shape except for the top. It needs a good cleaning and the hinge reattached. The box weighs almost 8 pounds. Email me if you have any questions. I accept PayPal.
