VINTAGE SHELL PENN OIL BOTTLES WITH METAL CASE

Up for auction is a lot of FIVE vintage Shell - Penn oil bottles with a metal return case. The bottles are clean with no oil residue. No chips were found. This is believed to be a rare gas station return case with spaces for 16 bottles. T is a dent on the front edge of the lid. Some rust pits are on the bottom of the case (these only show when the case is turned over). The metal case contains double honeycomb holders for the bottles and is approximately 14 1/4 inches wide (left to right) and 11 1/8 inches deep (front to back). The case is all original and appears to have never been painted. The lid is hinged and in good working order. T are no markings on the case. The five bottles are each 14 1/2 inches tall and have been cleaned. Each bottle is clearly embossed as follows "Shell-Penn Motor Oil, 100% pure Pennsylvania, Shell Petroleum Corporation, Guaranteed Delivers One Quart, Liquid Contents One Quart", with Shell emblem. INSURANCE IS INCLUDED IN SHIPPING AND HANDLING.
