Being offered for your consideration is this vintage Chester Nicodemus Ohio art pottery studio sitting kitten cat figurine.PLEASE NOTE that the photographs included with this auction are of the actual vintage Nicodemus art pottery kitten figurine being offered. Any light areas in the photographs are the result of the sheen in the outer clear glaze layer and do not exist on the actual object.ALSO NOTE that I have a three day return policy on any item I fail to describe accurately in the auction description below. MEASUREMENTS TOTAL LENGTH: 3 INCHES TOTAL HEIGHT: 2 5/8 INCHES HISTORY Born in 1901 in the town of Barberton, Ohio, Chester Nicodemus studied art at the Cleveland Art School and later became dean of the Columbus College of Art and Design. In addition to his teaching profession Chester Nicodemus also produced art pottery from his home studio here in Columbus, Ohio. DESCRIPTION This auction is for a vintage Nicodemus art pottery sitting kitten cat figurine. If you own a copy of the reference book "Sanfords Guide to Nicodemus", by Jim Riebel, this piece is pictured on page 14, number 132. The kitten is depicted in a seated position with the tail curled around the body. The bottom of the figurine carries the NICODEMUS signature mark. Also has the initials of E.J.
