This beautifully morbid painting is absolutely stunning, the bird's deep and rich colors stand out on the mournful black background. The painting is signed by Pendleton-Hall I believe, I cannot tell if the name is longer because the frame is covering part of it. I have not removed the frame and am not even going to attempt to do so. The painting is either oil or acrylic and I cannot tell if it is one or the other but I am weighing more on the oil. There is a run on the one side of the painting and I took a picture of it. I am guessing it is maybe from the 50s judging by the nails used and the burlap type stuff surrounding the frame, I really have no idea though. If anyone who is looking at this painting knows anything more about it please feel free to contact me and let me know more about it!!!! I am always eager to learn! **The measurements are: Frame...14.25 x 20.25 Painting (from inner lip of frame) 11.25 x 17.25. The colors are much more brilliant and bold than what I could capture on the pictures, but the painting needs a good professional cleaning.
