This is absolutely a wonderful, vintage Peter Hunt 3 legged milking stool. Top features a whimsical peasant art cat with a smiling face, along with Peter's folk art roses and heart. Top of the stool measures 1-1/2" thick and features his seamingly effortless comma stroke border. Stool is signed on the bottom. Piece measures approximately 7-3/4" high and is 10-1/4" wide. Very good condition for it's age, with some surface scratches. Peter Hunts work has become HIGHLY sought after in the last few years. This wonderful piece would be a great investment and a unique addition to any folk art collection. GOOD LUCK!! I own other signed pieces (like that birdhouse) and numerous books. I purchased them a few years back for an antique store In Pass Christian, MS. Unfortunately Ms Katrina, hurricane Camilles wicked sister put an end to that.
