Vintage ChainFirst let me note that this is silver tone. I have no way of testing for sterling and neither the locket nor chain are marked. So, I am pricing it as if it is a base metal but I am guessing it is silver plate because I see bits of tarnish on the chain. I see no rust so I do not think it is steel.The necklace is a nice old chain and I see no repairs. About ever 2" of simple chain is an oblong decorative piece about 9/16" long. A simple spring catch fastens it. The 4.5" extension is most attractive. You may choose to add your own (spring ring allows easy replacement) but it comes with a 1.5" engraved locket. Although it closely securely and has the original covers inside, there is some denting to the front cover and scratches on the back.International Buyers: Buyer assumes responsibility for any tases, tariffs or customs fees.
