This listing is for a vintage Maltese Silver cross, with a sterling chain. The Maltese cross is made in a silver type metal. I'm not sure if it is Sterling , Nickel, Silver or simply a Silver tone metal. Whatever metal it is made out of, it is really a wonderful looking and unusual Maltese cross. There are six raised prisms on the cross pendant, that are in silver. There is one on each of the cross's parts, one in the center of the cross and one above the cross in a triangle, that is separate from the cross itself. Each part of the cross has silver rows of rope style in it, with a raised Silver prism in the center of these rope patterns. There are round open cut circles on each of the edges of each side of the cross (one on each side). The Maltese cross measures 2 1/4" high and the triangular piece measures 3/4" high. The entire pendant, including the loop, measures 3 1/2" high. The cross measures 2 1/2" across and the bottom of the triangle measures 2" across. The Sterling Silver chain is designed with small links and medium elongated links. There is a round spring clasp at the end of this 18" chain that works perfectly. Next to this round spring clasp it is stamped "925" and " Italy ". The top of the cross has a slightly off center, but it could probably be straighten.
