Vintage silver victorian cobalt blue vase bowl cupid

Up for auction is this beautiful vintage silverplated repousse reticulated bowl. The silverplated repousse decoration is stunning! The victorian floral design is accented with roses, doves, swags, cupids and quivers. The cupid pattern is repeated four times around the circumference of the bowl. The bowl measures 4.5" tall and 4.5" wide (at the widest portion). It could serve as a nut bowl or perhaps a vase for flowers. As seen in the pictures, the bowl is signed "C & Co" as well as the insignia of the Edinburgh Castle. This is vintage silverplated reproduction was made in the early 1950's produced by Corbell and Company. Corbell & Company began production in 1946 in London, and moved to the United States in 1951. This particular line was released over 50 years ago and is no longer in production. This stunning bowl is an example of intricacy and craftmanship made by Corbell & Co. It is quite well made and sturdy, weighing 1 lb 5 ounces. As seen in the pictures, t is a small area on one of the cupid's wings w the silverplating is worn. T is also some flaking on the inside portion of the bowl. Otherwise, it is in great condition. This is from an estate in Hingham, MA. You will not be dissappointed with this piece!!
