This is a very European styled water pitcher or ewer. The bottom is heavy glass. I don't know if it's crystal, cut glass or formed glass. It has two patterns with the bottom like a pineapple. The top half is like pleats in the glass. The very top of the piece is silver or probably silverplate. On the inside of the top is a lip with holes in it to stop the ice while still pouring. The handle is quite ornate. It's been used as the pattern on the very bottom of the handle is a little rubbed. T is some missing silverplate along the bottom border and t It could use a good polishing. The missing silver is reasonable for it's age. I would think this piece dates back to the 1940's or 1950's. It is unmarked as far as I can see. It's a beautiful elegant piece measuring 11" tall, 7" wide and the base is 15" around.
