This auction is for a nice usedSIMPLEXHeritage No. 4TEA KETTLE*** Made in England ***This beautiful, high quality tea kettle is in nice used condition. A classic Victorian England design for over 100 years. It shows some normal signs of use: Very Light cleaning swirls (hardly seen) in the chrome finish, some heat marks on the bottom, some light wear interior from use , and a few scuffs to the black wooden handle. However, I do not find any real damage to the kettle anywhere (dents, etc.)Made of solid copper, with a chromed mirror-finish. It has the trademark ball in the spout (which is also made of solid copper), and as the temperature of the water increases, the ball travels toward the indent, eventually sealing and causing the whistle in the lid to begin whistling. Simply ingenious design. It also has the base coil feature that ensures fast boiling and greater heat retention. This model is made to be used best on gas stoves.
