Beautiful! Vintage SINGER 1948 Model 201 Sewing Machine - Well MaintainedThis is a beautiful machine. Serial Number has its date of manufacture as Dec 6th 1948.This machine has been well maintained. It moves very freely; is well lubricated.The cords are probably original and have some cracks but do function. So, these should be replaced before this machine gets put back into any extensive amount of work.Visually it is very nice. It does have some small chips in the paint along the edge of the table and also a few on the edge of the wheel.The lacquer clear finish is beginning to wear & chip off, especially on the back. It is very shiny black beneath.I am not a sewing machine expert, I have not sewn with this machine. It does move freely and appears complete.
