This is a Singer 221 Feather Weight sewing machine in beautiful condition. It has been serviced recently and everything works perfectly. This is one of the finest machines ever built for prescision work. It is the standard for quilting. The stitch it creates is beautiful and perfect from both top and bottom. It is easy to set up for different fabric thickness and comes with 10 attachments. I recently used it to sew some curtains, and it was a joy to work with. The pedal can make the machine go as slow as a snail or gradually up to full speed with no change in the stitch quality or length. For standard cotton fabric, the tension sets just over 5 (on 0-10), lots of room to adjust to any fabric you use. This machine is lightly used and is in very good condition with only a few scratches and a little wear on the gold. The case is also in good condition and has room for all the attachments to fit inside. It is a nice compact set that can be stored easily. The 10 attachments included are the 36865 edge stitcher, 160359 multi slotter binder with guide pins, 161127 adjustable zipper foot, 121441 shirring blind stitch attachment, 160506 complete button holer with 8 templates, straight and keyhole, 120855 foot, 35931attachment, 120598 attachment, 160616 attachment. Also included are 3 bobins, a singer screwdriver, and a copy of instructions on how to set up the machine. The serial number is 388655 so it was made in early 1956.
