this is an old slingerland mahogany interior shell dated 19 OCT 1960. red glass glitter finish is in great condition. comes complete with black / gold badge and 8 original snare lugs with slot head mounting screws. as far as i can figure it this may have been a rare transitional period hollywood ace as it's drilled for a 3 point radio king style throw and 6 hole snare strainer bridges rather than the later rapid throw off and conventional butt end. no extra holes. shell and bearing edges are in great condition but there is a very slight de-lamination of the glue rings in a couple of places which may need a dab of glue at some point though fine as is. a great shell to refurbish or use in a custom build project. i also have a nickel plated 3 point strainer that fits the drum that i may sell if the winning bidder is interested after the auction ends. please ask all questions before bidding and thanks for looking. please note shipping is for mainland UK only.
