This Slingerland piccolo snare drum appears to be from 1948 to 1962 according to Rob Cook's Slingerland Book.

Slingerland piccolo snare drum - 4"x13" with Beavertail Lugs, single-flange hoops with 12 lugs and claws. It appears to have maple tone / reinforcement rings and the bearing edges are smooth. It has a 3 point throw-off strainer and there is no butt plate. The "Sparkling Gold" finish has discolored somewhat over time.

Slingerland produced 3 ply and solid-shell 13" snare drums with and without the Radio King engraved hoops. These drums were evidently special-order drums. This 13" vintage Slingerland drum is a little dusty; however, it is solid with no structural issues and is round. All-in-all a pretty cool drum.

There are no heads with this Slingerland snare drum.
